For the August block of the month, let's keep it simple, as summer is a busy time. How about just some simple 9-patch blocks in a rainbow color scheme?

Using 4 1/2 inch squares, cut 9 squares all in the same color family but using 9 different print fabrics. Try to go with a Modern vibe for your choices. This is a great way to use up some scraps! Sew together into a 9-Patch. This will make a 12 1/2" (12" finished) block. You can use any color you want to, not only what is shown in the inspiration photo.
