Block of the Quarter and Community Quilts

Each quarter, our Guild makes a different quilt block — some are improv and some are a twist on more traditional blocks. It's always exciting to see all the different takes on a common theme. Each quarter, a member acts as captain and is responsible for sewing the member-donated blocks into a quilt top. These quilts, along with other quilts graciously donated by members, are given to local charities. 

Twisted Ribbon — due April 2025

Use white for the background and two shades of same color (light and dark) for the ribbon. Chose any size block — 7-in, 10.5-in, 14-in are all fine!

Captain needed.

Curved Flying Geese — due July 2025

Use white or low volume for the background in the flying geese and corners. Use scraps of any color for the geese and the sides.

Cubed Lattice — due October 2025

Use white or low volume for the background and blue and purple for the lattice pieces.

Captain needed.

Double Windmills — due January 2026

Use black, navy, or other dark for the background and any color for the windmills.

Captain needed.
