We’re always on the lookout for members who want to share their time and talents to make our guild an exciting one. Below is a list of our current committees, let us know how you’d like to help!
Membership Committee:
Welcome new members
Help with attendance at monthly meetings
Community Quilts Committee:
Suggest additional organizations to receive quilts, identifying requirements for each
Work with the events committee to schedule community quilt Sew Ins
Help with the delivery of quilts to recipient charities
Block of the Month Committee: (2023 blocks have been selected and will be posted on the TMQG website. Monthly block captains are still needed. )
Decide on a quilt block and color scheme for each month of the year
Have an example of next month’s block ready for each meeting
Choose tutorials and examples to be posted on our blog
Lead the time to share blocks from previous months and introduce the new block at our meetings
Communications/Meida/Technology Committee:
Take photos at guild meetings and events and post the photos to the TMQG Facebook and Instagram sites
Contribute information for the TMQG blog and website with photos and calendar of events.
Assist with Zoom meetings at monthly meetings and on-line events.
Swaps /Challenges Committee:
Determine the schedule for swaps and challenges for the year, including resources and guidelines
Chair Lead will present and lead the discussion about each swap/challenge at the meetings.
Education Committee:
Help organize skill building demonstrations for guild meetings.
Assist with identifying teachers, classes and workshops for the guild
Suggest locations and assist with Sew-ins, annual retreats and other social events
Fundraising Committee:
Assist with organization, execution and clean up of the annual De-Stash
Explore other opportunities to earn money for the guild
