January's block of the month is the "Japanese X and Plus" block. The colors should be red, apple/lime green, royal blue with a white background. These will finish at 12.5 inches finished, or 13 inches raw edged. The tutorial can be found here.

Additionally, we'll be doing 10 inch heart blocks in Police Blue with low volume backgrounds, for the partner of the fallen office, Jake Gutierrez, of Tacoma Police using the Cluck Cluck Sew tutorial.
