Welcome to The Tacoma Modern Quilt Guild
The Tacoma Modern Quilt Guild is a group of modern quilters who love to sew together. We formalized as a non-profit organization in 2014 and are part of the international organization, The Modern Quilt Guild. Our in-person meetings are in University Place but our members come from a larger geographical area, ranging from Tacoma to the South Sound area to the Olympic Peninsula.
The TMQG is a fun, inspiring, and creative group of quilters and sewists who are focused on community, education, and art through quilt making. Our meetings, workshops and social activities support and encourage the growth & development of modern quilting. We strive to create and maintain an inclusive organization built on encouragement and mutual respect, where all feel safe and welcome. Our Guild is open to everyone regardless of race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, identity, quilting ability, or anything else.
Visitors are always welcome at our monthly meetings and at our Sew In events. Meetings are the best way to find out what is going on with the Guild and to get involved. We meet at 6:30pm on the third Thursday every month at the Environmental Service building located at 9850 64th St W, University Place. You can also check our calendar page to see when Sew In events or other activities are planned and consult our Membership Information for details on how to join us!
