HomeBlock of the Month

Block of the Month

Each month, our Guild makes a different quilt block — some are improv and some are a twist on more traditional blocks. It's always exciting to see all the different takes on a common theme. Each quarter, a member acts as captain and is responsible for sewing the member-donated blocks into a quilt top. These quilts, along with other quilts graciously donated by members, are given to local charities as part of our Community Quilt program.

Go Mariners!

This block is a 8.5" block using fabric which includes the Mariner's logo and team colors. Each block starts with one 4.5" square of Mariner's logo fabric, which is available to pick up at the June meeting or by contacting Amy Hanson. Use a light color (white, light grey, light blue, light teal) for the first row/infield, and a darker color (dark grey, navy blue or dark teal) for the second row/outfield. Solids are preferred for these two rows.

Complete instructions are included in the link above. Feel free to make more than one! (The photo on the left shows nine blocks with various options.)

Blocks are due July 2026.
